An often overlooked mycotoxin - patulin

Apple products such as juice concentrates, apple juice, apple nectar, apple sauce, applesauce and dried apple pieces are susceptible to the mycotoxin patulin. Patulin is relatively stable to short-term heat, such as pasteurization, as well as in the pH range of 3.0 to 6.5.

The Ordinance on Maximum Levels for Contaminants from December 16, 2016 (status July 1, 2020), regulates this plant toxin for various apple products. We offer the accredited analysis of patulin at the following prices:

1x analysis at CHF 175.00 each, excluding VAT.

5x analysis at CHF 165.00 each, excluding VAT.

10x analyses at 145.00 CHF each, excluding VAT.

20x analyses at 110.00 CHF each, excluding VAT.

The patulin1 analysis is accredited and is performed in an accredited laboratory of the Eurofins group. The offer is valid for the 2024 apple season. Lower detection limits for baby food are excluded from the above prices.

1 These analyses are performed in an accredited Lab within the Eurofins Network of Laboratories. The list is not exhaustive.
