You'll discover how to link apparatus and media choice with powder characteristics from particle size and surface area to flowability and harness cutting-edge PSD techniques to optimise formulation performance.

During this webinar our experts Martin Schiller and Xiao Yu X. will share:

  • How dissolution fundamentals inform powder and particle characterisation workflows
  • Best practices for selecting dissolution apparatus and media to reflect biorelevant conditions
  • An overview of particle size distribution (PSD) methodologies and their applications

Our speakers:

Martin Schiller, Team Lead, Particle and Spectroscopy Group, Eurofins PHAST Development GmbH & Co. KG

Martin Schiller leads the Particle and Spectroscopy Group, bringing deep expertise in particle size distribution (PSD) via laser diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), rheology, shear testing, and specific surface area analysis. He is passionate about turning hands-on lab experience into practical insights and views the upcoming webinar as a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and foster meaningful discussion around particle testing.

Dr. Xiao Yu Xie, Head of Laboratory, Eurofins PHAST Development GmbH & Co. KG

Dr. Xie is a pharmacist and Ph.D. of biopharmacy. He is focusing on dissolution technology, biorelevant dissolution, and IVIVC. Since 2009, he started his study and research of biopharmacy, dissolution and release, and formulation development in University Auvergne Clermont. After several years of formulation development, he started his work in Eurofins Phast Development since 2017.
